2002 Acura RSX Type-S

I drive a 2002 Acura RSX Type-S! I have always been a fan of these cars, Honda's in general. It was my dream, to own one, so in 2018 I decided to pull the trigger and got one! Ever since I was a child, my parents would buy me Hot Wheels, scale model cars and of course that fuelled my love and passion for cars. From playing on those floor mats with the roads printed on them to now wrenching away at my own car, it's been my biggest passion by far. To be honest, speed isn't really my thing. I like to drive "low and slow". So that being said, I've never dyno'd the car. I would estimate it makes a little over 200bhp! The car does have full bolt-ons which will be listed below. It's not a fast car, but it is a blast to drive and VTEC is always fun to cross over!

I have always had a blast working on the car on weekends with a group of friends, it really does make this hobby more enjoyable. Some local shops I would like to mention that have helped me with issues I have had with the car, and source out things for me would be 'Centerline Motorsports' and 'XII Motorsports'. Both are great professionals with trustworthy people to who I have had no issues with handing the keys for whatever the reason may be, and hopefully to work alongside them one day to make some custom fabricated pieces!

This is actually my 4th car. All my previous cars were fairly boring... but at the time they got me from A to B whilst I saved up for a car I really wanted and could see myself modifying. The first car I got in high school was a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, really not that interesting, then I got my first Honda/Acura, which was my mom's 2002 Acura TL Type-S, which was a blast to drive even for a bigger car! Then I got my first manual car, which was a 2005 Honda Civic, great little car, super fun to drive as it was manual and that really developed my joy for driving. Then came the 2002 Acura RSX Type-S which is my pride and joy. Then finally I bought myself a winter car, which is my 2003 Honda CRV which was the perfect all-around vehicle I needed for winter!

I don't see this car as ever being truly finished, just depends on how far I decide to go with it. Some future plans I have for the car are to get the car's bodywork done and either resprayed or fully change the colour. I would like to finally purchase a set of 3-piece wheels. Then finally have a dig at the engine and the engine bay. That's one of the main things I'd like to do, even if I don't build the motor, or boost it or whatnot, I'd like to have a show-worthy engine bay with all the wires tucked, shaved, resprayed, all the hardware changed etc. Something to be proud of when I pop the hood. Oh and also a cage (for looks) and some more interior details!

I do enter car shows. I basically just chose the ones that most of my friends and I have an interest in applying for. We all go there for fun and to see familiar faces and show off what we're proud of! I have never won anything, nor do I expect to. There are tons of nicer, and more well-put-together builds that are far more worthy of a trophy! It's really hard to pinpoint one dream car. I am a huge Honda guy at heart and have always been a huge fan of the S2000 and the NSX. I've been having my eyes out for the new FK8 Type R as a daily driver. As a future build, I'd like to fully K Swap and modernize a CRX Si. But the build I really want to be able to achieve one day is to build a 993 911 RWB.

I just want to say thank you so much for this opportunity and I hope you can use this info for an article! I had a smile on my face when you offered me this, and I simply couldn't refuse this.
